Drawing inspiration from Andrei Tarkovski's film Nostalgia, the title Saudade is a Portuguese word, from the Latin solitas, atis. It refers to a state of nostalgia, melancholy and longing, and is considered a difficult word to translate. Saudade is a tension between opposites: on the one hand, the feeling of a lack, and on the other, the hope and desire to find what is missing. This piece questions our condition of existence, which is increasingly characterized by inconmmunicability and hostility. These texts, formatted in Chinese calligraphy, are transformed into 引魂幡, the traditional Asian mourning object used during burial ceremonies to guide ghosts to their graves.

Everyone will be annihilated by the clamor
